Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GOLDEN HORN OYUN TEKNOLOJİLERİ LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("Golden Horn Studios", "we", "us") processes personal data in connection with our website and our games, including Potato Peeler (the "Game"). Golden Horn Studios is the data controller for this data.
In short: we do not track you, we do not show ads, and we do not sell or share your data. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us by email, for example when you report a bug.
1. Information We Collect
Bug and translation reports from the Game
The Game's Troubleshooting menu has "Report a bug" and "Translation error" options. Using one creates a report file on your own computer and opens a pre-filled email. Nothing is sent to us unless you attach the file and send that email yourself. A report contains:
your save files and game profile;
the Game's log files from the current and previous session, with your user folder path removed;
technical information: game version, language, operating system, processor, graphics card, memory and screen resolution.
We also receive your email address and anything you write in your email.
Emails you send us
If you contact us by email for any other reason, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
What we do not collect
The Game does not send any data to us automatically. Your saves, settings and logs stay on your computer. We do not use analytics, advertising identifiers or advertising networks in the Game. Our website does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Steam
Achievements, leaderboards and other Steam features are provided by Valve Corporation and are linked to your Steam account. Valve processes this data under its own privacy policy: Steam Privacy Policy.
Website hosting
Like any website, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type and time of visit) in server logs to keep the website running and secure. We do not use this information to identify you.
2. Purpose and Legal Basis
We use the information you send us only to:
investigate and fix the bug or translation error you reported;
reply to your message.
This processing is based on your consent, which you give by choosing to send us the email (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; Article 5(1) of Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, "KVKK"), and on our legitimate interest in providing a working game (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; Article 5(2)(f) KVKK).
We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.
3. Storage of Information
We keep bug reports and support emails only as long as needed to resolve the issue, and delete them no later than 12 months after the issue is resolved, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete them earlier at any time.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is stored only with the email and hosting providers we use to run our services, which process it on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law or a valid legal request.
5. Transfer to Other Countries
Our email and hosting providers may store data on servers outside Turkey or the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Children
Our website and games are not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the European Economic Area), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access. However, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your Rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy (Article 15 GDPR);
Correct inaccurate data (Article 16 GDPR);
Delete your data (Article 17 GDPR);
Restrict or object to processing (Articles 18 and 21 GDPR);
Receive your data in a portable format (Article 20 GDPR);
Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal (Article 7 GDPR).
Residents of Turkey have the same rights under Article 11 of KVKK.
To use any of these rights, email us at info@goldenhornstudios.com. We will respond without undue delay and in any event within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in Turkey, the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK); in the European Economic Area, the supervisory authority of your country.
California residents
We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
9. Links to Other Websites
Our website may contain links to websites we do not control, such as Steam. Their own privacy policies apply there.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
